That could just be different time-zones or clock de-synchronization. Focus on
the FTP sessions you *do* find in your log. Enable FTP logging/debugging of
data channel activity in the server configuration, that should help pinpoint
the problem.

And http://synchro.net/docs/tcpip_faq.html has quite a bit of info on problems
(and solutions) with FTP over firewall/NAT.
