You shouldn't need to. Additionally, if you set it (to "C:\SBBS\NODE1\" for example), your doors will only work for node 1. Good find! I'll work on a fix for the next release (so the BBS will over-ride any user-set values for environment variables), but in the mean-time, just remove that variable fro your Windows environment variable list.
