They don't know because the corporate whores that control the main stream don't know themselves and / or don't care to forward the memo to them. This is why synchweb is important. Get some n00b on the web interface who reads, Xpresit or alt.bbs*.* and similar forums where people are having similar discussions (or even this one right now for that mater) and every now and then you'll see them possibly respond with "whats telnet?" We need the web interface for awareness purposes. However, I think telnet is less important than the overall traditions, ideas, mentality and community of the BBS Scene itself. Most of us help eachother and exchange knowledge and aren't as flaming and definately not at all spamming as the main stream web crap you see on most sites. We're trying to put the Internet back as it should be. Will we succeed? Well, if two brothers can make the worlds first flying machine, otherwise known as an airplane in a barn in hicktown, BFE well over 100 years ago then I think us taking back control of the Internet and returning it to the people as opposed to the corps is alot more likely than 2 boys in a barn who decided they wanted to fly and actually made it happen. -- .---------------------------------------------------------------. | [TiME WaRRiOR] aka [Dave Kelso] AIM: Twar782 | +o Malkavia BBS | | www : synchsupport.net - malkaviabbs.com - xpresit.net | | www$: josephsjewelersonline.com - preferedinsurance.com | | @: time.warrior@malkaviabbs. com | \______________________________________________________________/ --- Synchronet 3.12a-Win32 NewsLink 1.76 * Malkavia - Chicago, IL - telnet://malkaviabbs.com --- Synchronet 3.13a-Win32 NewsLink 1.83 .
