Synchronet has a web server and web interface. Most of the primary Synchronet 
/ BBS Type features are available and full functional within the WWW 
environment.

Just for example:

Google Groups: Message areas can be accessed and used via WWW and with the 
Listserv function can also be sent to invididual users by way of email. Just 
like Yahoo Groups, only no spam or ads.

X-Chat: Not sure what this is exactly but I'm guessing some sort of web based 
chat. Using PJIRC to connect to The Synchronet IRC Daemon, web based chat via 
Synchronet is more than possible.

Only unlike Google Groups or X-Chat, email can be downloaded directly via 
POP3, forums can be pulled by users or other Sysops via NNTP / QWK / FTN / or 
read online via telnet. Chat can also be accessed via telnet as to not deal 
with the bloat of a client if system resources aren't as resourceful as you'd 
like them to be on your PC.

Email can also be forwarded from the BBS to any other existing email account 
on the Internet.

So, whats the problem again? :-)

Using utilities like Internet Rex, you can also (permission of the list owner 
required) do a POP3 / SMTP gate from any listserv on the internet into your 
BBS.
