Subj : BBS over web-based ?? To : All From : Sam Alexander Date : Wed Sep 21 2005 04:55 pm Hi Everyone, I'm creating my board to be a replacement to the web-based and GUI Internet tools I currently use, like Google Groups, X-Chat, etc. The only thing I can't replace is WWW, but all else I want to stuck with the BBS for. ANyone else doing this? For example, instead of messing with a newsreader or Google Groups, I'm adding groups to my BBS as needed. Also I'm rather used to irssi and bitchx for IRC, so I'm getting those setup on the BBS for me to use. If I can use switches to secure these so other users can't get into system-level apps I'll definitely open everything up to share for everyone :) Just curious if anyone else uses the BBS as their window to the Internet over web-based tools.
