Actually I really prefer an irc style chat as oposed to direct type chatting because with speech, if the synthesizer speaks each character as it's typed, it can be so painfully slow, where as with an irc style situation, the whole line or lines are spoken after the person presses the enter key. I used to use irc a lot when I had a shell account on the internet about 10 years ago, and that's part of what I like about playing around with Linux. I figured it might be like that, but thanks for the tip. Also I like epic rather than bitchx.
