The best way to write something that integrates into Synchronet is via JS. See
http://synchro.net/docs/js.html for details. This is how the stock nntp/news
server, IRC daemon, newsgroup linking, list server, and other services and
modules were written.

You could also write something in C/C++, but it would be less "portable"
between OSes and versions of Synchronet.
