Very true.. but I've seen folks travel across country for all sorts of stuff 
with enough time to plan.  For me if given enough time I'd be more then 
willing to travel across country to attend a group meetup of some sorts.

I'd never heard of this -- and great site!!!  I checked some of the info and 
pics, and looks like alot of fun!  Is a date set for 2006?  If so, I might 
put this on my 'vacation possible' list ;)  I'm getting married in 5 weeks, 
so I'll also have to convence the wife to come along, but Chicago has been a 
place both of us have wanted to check out.
