Chuckle... You do have a point. I, personally, wouldn't care if the hand of someone rescuing me was from Mars or a Democrat. Just so I was rescued. Life is life. Politics is politics. (Yeah, I am Raymond Quinn (R-CA)). I live in a VERY "red" area in a "blue" state. Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, and Nancy Polosi are an embarrassement to me and I voted for Arnold in the recall election. We got rid of Gray Davis, now to get rid of the three "lady stooges" mentioned above. I tried last election... I rarely talk politics, however I do listen to a lot. In my opinion, saving lives should be non-political, non-partisan, and done as soon as possible. As a member of and an Assistant Emergency Coordinator for Tulare County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES), (www.tcares.us) we practice for such emergencies. We try to figure out what went right and what went "wrong". I believe that after the recent disaster in the South, we should do the same thing. Let's find out what went wrong and fix it! On another note, Diesel fuel DROPPED locally from $3.399 per gallon early last week to $2.999 at the end of the week. Where I fuel my 18-wheeler it was $3.349 last time I fueled. Today it was $3.129. Gas, however, has only fallen from $3.199 to about $3.049. I still only spend $20 per week. I just stay home more and pay less in state and federal taxes due to the fact that I buy fewer gallons. Words I would hate to hear: "We're from the government and we're here to help." - Ronald Reagan 73 de Ray KF6KMY ....
