Subj : Small tip for people using non-English MS-Windows releases To : All From : Bombuzal Date : Mon Sep 05 2005 01:33 am From Newsgroup: alt.bbs.synchronet Hi, this has probably been mentioned in the past.. But thought I would mention it anyway... I use the Russian release of Windows 2000 - and can imagine the following would be a problem for people not using a localised version of Windows which doesn't use Latin chars: Problem: Setting up many Door Games from the DOS prompt will not work properly (e.g. LORD, Usurper etc), even if you have American or British English as an input locale. Solution: Download DOSBox from http://dosbox.sourceforge.net and install to x:\sbbs\DOSBox or your preferred path. After running DOSBox, you should mount the drive SBBS is on (eg. "mount c c:\") and then run whichever DOS app you need to configure your door from there.
