Hrm... I think one of us is missing what the other one is saying.  There is
absolutely no way for anyone in the known universe to compile the existing code
for some of the platforms I run.  This is why it matters what it's written in.

There is no compiler that will target OpenBSD/i386, NetBSD/i386, or
Solaris/SPARC.
