As for my suggestion (that looking at your to-do list it seems someone else 
had it first before me lol) I have an idea that might be even better.

How about SyncEdit being able to emulate the look and feel of existing 
editors?

QuickEdit
Pico
Fedit
(the list goes on)

These would be hard coded into Synchronet. Also, to allow for more 
flexibility, hows about a simple template system for people to be able to 
"design" their own editor, give you the template and then you incorporate it?

Also maybe the ability to add a custom header which would be nothing more 
than a *.ans file.

Basically the "To / From / Subject / Etc..." header.

This would also allow people with their own FSE ideas to be able to create an 
editor without needing to code one from scratch.
