To not make this feature > annoying, a prompt like: > Please (S)elect which editor to use or [ENTER] for User Default: This seemed to go unnoticed by you and I know your a busy guy, so I made it more direct. :-) Even though I pull this via nntp, thankfully Tracker1 corrected my line of thinking quite some time ago. I *used* to think NNTP didn't support "to" fields when really it's the CLIENT that doesn't support it for reasons unknown and that NNTP itself supports "to fields" just fine and dandy! :-) Now if only Synchronet could append custom footers to the very end of NNTP Messages to replace the current NNTP Gate Tag. Then I could emulate an FTN Origin line and pretend the FTN Packet Format doesn't exist unles a non-Synch BBS wants a feed for something. lol Even if people don't wanna emulate that a per message area footer would be pretty nice for a variety of uses. Hell an "inbound" append of this nature would be cool too. Like for example, PHPbb with newsync allows PHPbb to carry echomail via NNTP. However being purely web based, it doesn't append any tags to it outbound messages at all. So it would be cool to be able to do it on behalf of that website. For example: * Origin: So-n-such PHPbb Site - http://www.my-forums.ext I've always liked qwk tags, origin lines, etc... because they well, ya know, let ya know where the message originated from, which i've always found to be useful. -- .---------------------------------------------------------------. | [TiME WaRRiOR] aka [Dave Kelso] AIM: Twar782 | +o Malkavia BBS | | www : synchsupport.net - malkaviabbs.com - xpresit.net | | www$: josephsjewelersonline.com - preferedinsurance.com | | @: time.warrior@malkaviabbs. com | \______________________________________________________________/ --- Synchronet 3.12a-Win32 NewsLink 1.76 * Malkavia - Chicago, IL - telnet://malkaviabbs.com --- Synchronet 3.13a-Win32 NewsLink 1.83 .
