Unlike Putty, SecureCRT seems to disallow entering the aforementioned
string manually.

Anyway, these are the settings which in my opinion affect the display:

TERMINAL

Checkbox: strip 8th bit (unchecked by default)

CHARACTER ENCODING
-default (default :) )
-euc-jp

Checkbox: use unicode line drawing characters (checked by default)


What would be the correct combination to use? I wouldn't want to risk
getting blacklisted at Vertrauen after checking all possible
combinations by disconnecting many times right after the intro screen
is shown. ;)
