I'm on FreeBSD 7.0-CURRENT (tracking CVS). I had previously been running as root, but figured I'd set up sbbs:sbbs and do it that way. (The sole function of that box is the BBS and an internal Squid proxy, so there was no inherent jeopardy in running as root.) I did echo the LOGDIR and SYNCPIDF within the script to confirm the path was absolute and correct. In fact, the contents of the SYNCPID variable itself displays the correct process, so it's just very weird that the script exits with the "Synchronet is not current running" error. I'll play with it some more... again, I'm sure it's something I'm not doing here. Thanks again. --- þ Synchronet þ BBS Doors (www.bbsdoors.com) .
