Well hey guess what "DUH", got it fixed.. Always something so simple.
Had telnet daemon running in background, once disabled, SBBS was able like a
champ to bind to telnet socket.

Thanks to all who replied, ya'll got me thinking in the right areas..
w00t! Gotta love it!

Feeling a bit more secure - have the SBBS up and running -gonna enjoy GrEaT
uptimes - aww ya.. life is good..
