I was one on the list that didn't make it in. You have to realize that from the user level, to Sysops, to NC's, to software authors, to pretty much anyone involved, we ALL played an equally important part and some of us still play those parts today, thankfully. Without users, there would be no Sysops. Without Sysops, there would be no echomail networks. Without software, there would be no BBS's at all. Fidonet, Dove, Xpresit, Starnet, SSN, Dore, USSN, ACnet, Justaxnet and a long list of others are no more or less important than their counterparts. No one doorgame is more or less important than another. No BBS Software is more or less important than another. Everyone and everything makes the collective whole. Your kidneys are just as vital as your heart, your colin just as vital as your brain (however some people do seem to think with their colins as opposed to their brains and talk directly out of their sphinkters but thats BESIDES the point! :-) > To be honest, I was impressed that you got Tom Jennings to give you an > interview! I'd heard that he pushed away from most attempts at anything > to do with BBS or Fidonet. It's all about impressions. Jason was obviously doing something noteworthy. Whining for a conversation is different than an interview for a DVD. > I do want to know when we can get access to these full interviews. I'd > like a copy of mine and maybe some others. Please let us know. I'll be downloading *ALL OF THEM*. Fidonet may have gone to crap but people have to remember that if it were not for Fidonet and not for Jennings creating it (even though he did seem to get stabbed in the back by his peers after awhile), countless other Echomail Network's would never have exsisted, mine being one of a very LARGE list. Jennings is pissed because people took Fidonet and bastardized it. What he may or may not realize, is that "bastardization" was the inspiration for every other GOOD FTN Network that has EVER exsisted and ever WILL exsist. Myself and all of Xpresit Net definately owe him alot of thanks. This year was the 9th Annual Xpresit BBQ in Chicago. Without him, all 9 BBQ's would never have exsisted. I rather enjoy myself at those BBQ's. I mean, what sadistic bastard hates a party? lol :-) > At any rate, I'm glad that I was in there and I hope that others will > view the documentary and give it a chance. I think this is just the begining. What the future holds, I think, will prove to be most interesting -- to say the least. -- .---------------------------------------------------------------. | [TiME WaRRiOR] aka [Dave Kelso] AIM: Twar782 | +o Malkavia BBS | | www : synchsupport.net - malkaviabbs.com - xpresit.net | | www$: josephsjewelersonline.com - preferedinsurance.com | | @: time.warrior@malkaviabbs. com | \______________________________________________________________/ --- Synchronet 3.12a-Win32 NewsLink 1.76 * Malkavia - Chicago, IL - telnet://malkaviabbs.com --- Synchronet 3.12b-Win32 NewsLink 1.83 .
