Subj : BBS & Linux & Bastille To : All From : Arpawolf Date : Wed Aug 03 2005 12:24 pm Greetings, Been a while since I've posted. Now having some issues with being able to get sbbs up and running. I run Fedora Core 2, and recently installed Bastille (Security hardening) software for my system. Since then, I can't get telnet to 'bind' to the telnet port. ;/ I've doubled check, that I can telnet into my system from a remote site and telnet 'accepts' connections. Yet, can not get sbbs to bind to telnet port. Maybe bastille changed permissions on /sbbs ? Anyone have any thoughts suggestions? BTW, what are the default permissions for /sbbs and its recursive dirs/files..? Thanks, BTW would like to continue running Bastille, but really wish to continue utilizing Synchronet.. its a gem ;) JP ______________________________________________________ / \ Disclaimer: " These opinions are my own, though for a small fee they be yours too." -- John Pollock \______________________________________________________/ .
