I don't remember what version Apple made the switch to bash as the shell on OS
X, but I do remember getting ahold of 10.0.x not long after it hit the shelves
and when first using the console, noticed that the default shell was indeed NOT
bash. Originally, Apple was using tcsh. 

Just another bit of trivia! ;)
