I have to say i'm a firm believer in the the fact that while at first IBM
seemed like a saving grace, the promise has just petered out.  I got my
1.24ghz powerbook over a year ago.  Look what they're selling now.  1.5ghz. 
Why upgrade?  On quite frankly, at first I was expecting these massive
battery times, but this freaking things gets hella hot and I only get max 3.5
hours out of it, and that's on the "slow as balls" setting.  I love my mac,
but while intel tech may not be better, it certainly seems to be advancing
quicker than powerpc.
