This sounds like a bug that was fixed after the 3.12a-Win32 release. From
http://cvs.synchro.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/src/sbbs3/listfile.cpp:
"The Win32 list long filename feature didn't work correctly with filenames with
a less than 8 char base name."
