Painful! ;-) 500 is a bit of a stretch, iirc the ansi limit for thedraw is 100 lines, which can be tight, if you have a header/greet block, an image, and a trailing font.. even as a single welcome screen... Also, they tend to zip by on telnet boards in any case... and wasn't just refering to sync, I've seen a few stock mystic and ele setups as well...
