Originally, processed cheese was made from dried, un-sellable chese-rinds collected from public houses. They were boiled, soaked in gasolene, irradiated with plutonium, or whatever else had to be done in order to end up with the yellowy, salty snot currently known as "processed cheese". Nowadays, I believe the palate of the people has been carefully cultured to prefer synthetic food enriched with artificial flavour, so they no doubt start with the raw dairy produce and make the "processed cheese" directly, instead of collecting the scraping off customers plates in low-rent restaurants. But I find Danish Blue somewhat repulsive. --- þ Synchronet þ Synchronet Track-and-field: Discus event at The ANJO BBS .
