Umn, the stuff that comes in those wrapped packages isn't "american" cheese
american cheese is a really mild cheddar... the stuff that kraft etc pushes is 
processed cheese, and not quite the same.. beyond this, there are lots of 
cheeses that are made/aged properly in america, it's just the processed stuff 
is kinda common..
