Well, being an external protocol, one would presume it's seperate and simply "talks to" the protocol to tell it "these are the files i want to upload" and tells it where to place the downloaded files :-) .... and you said SyncTERM didn't support external protocols. Seems to support ONE at least :-) As far as being faster than FTP or not, I wouldn't know first hand. Thats where the "i've heard" and "I haven't been following it closely" comes into play :-) I also was unaware that NTP had any security holes. What is / are the hole(s) if you don't mind me asking? > But, SyncTERM *will* support something better when I design it. :-) I only wish the BBS Scene had a monitary budget of some sort. Aside from you and others deserving to get paid -- when something is ones full time job, things tend to move alot faster. I'll let ya'll know if hell freezes over and I win the lotto As far as supporting something better when you design it -- it may take awhile but everything i've seen you release is always ass-kickingly good so I look forward to see what your creativity and skill produces in the future :-) -- .---------------------------------------------------------------. | [TiME WaRRiOR] aka [Dave Kelso] AIM: Twar782 | +o Malkavia BBS | | www : synchsupport.net - malkaviabbs.com - xpresit.net | | www$: josephsjewelersonline.com - preferedinsurance.com | | @: time.warrior@malkaviabbs. com | \______________________________________________________________/ --- Synchronet 3.12a-Win32 NewsLink 1.76 * Malkavia - Chicago, IL - telnet://malkaviabbs.com --- Synchronet 3.12b-Win32 NewsLink 1.83 .
