I hear of it quite a bit.. I mean some find features in elebbs better suited 
to them (more RA like).. or mystic, etc... to each their own, I think the 
biggest reason for growth in sync is active support... the fact that about 
every inch of a synchronet board is 100% moddable is a an infinate bonus.. 
(and by about every inch, I mean without using a compiler).

Yeah, when I saw that sync had javascript I loved it... (a little frustrated 
at times, when little bugs creeped up, no offense to dm or deuce).. I had very 
little intent on using baja from that point, I know/knew js pretty well, and 
was easy enough to get into it with sync.

Well, there was a little stagnation at 2.3, but it was so far ahead of any 
free, let alone opensource software at the time... I really liked, and to this 
day like sync's chat section... it need(ed) some tweaks, but so does anything...
