Subj : Synchweb - is this possible? To : All From : Time Warrior Date : Thu Jun 16 2005 04:10 am From Newsgroup: alt.bbs.synchronet Is there a way to maybe make a secondary telnet daemon as a frontend to the extrn util so that the Synchweb Login info could be used to go directly to a telnet doorgame via a modified java telnet app? There could be virtual node dir's that are created (as needed) on the fly for the door info files... Examples: C:\SBBS\WEB01\ C:\SBBS\WEB02\ C:\SBBS\WEB03\ Synchweb would create them as needed and for the ones already created, would use the most readily available one upon request. Seeing as most doorgames do NOT as of yet have a web interface, this i think would be a good way of bringing doorgames to the web. The user of course would NEED to be logged into Synchweb for this to work. Annonymous access would not be allowed because it would allow too much potential for cheating. I don't see doing this as being a royal pain bit definately time consuming to develope. However, I do this this would be a useful feature. Who may agree or disagree with me is yet to be seen but I guess i'll find out. -- .---------------------------------------------------------------. | [TiME WaRRiOR] aka [Dave Kelso] AIM: Twar782 | +o Malkavia BBS | | www : synchsupport.net - malkaviabbs.com - xpresit.net | | www$: josephsjewelersonline.com - preferedinsurance.com | | @: time.warrior@malkaviabbs. com | \______________________________________________________________/ --- Synchronet 3.12a-Win32 NewsLink 1.76 * Malkavia - Chicago, IL - telnet://malkaviabbs.com --- Synchronet 3.12b-Win32 NewsLink 1.83 .
