My reason for the distinction is probably more in business/accounting rules than in any real sense, considering a 1-2u server today for <$1k has more power than a 20k server from 8-10 years ago... same for 4-way SMP servers coming in around 10k now, vs. 100k servers 10 years ago... -- Michael J.
