No, you FTP out *to* vert, you don't get inbound traffic.. as far as FTP goes, users will have the same access to files they would have via telnet.. the transfers tend to go better than via telnet though. > Third question, where do I find the html pages for editing the default > web site? Because sbbs uses record level locking, it is probably best to shut down when backing up.. the core folders you should backup are ctrl and data... any mods you make should be in your mods folder.. doors are generally in the xtrn folder... I have an event that does an xcopy each night.. and will shut down the bbs once in a while to run it to another folder without the bbs running. If you backup while running the most likely files to be out of sync are the mail data files, since they are the most accessed (depending on activity). YMMV, IANAL, VWP, QL, SRMA, BNI -- Michael J.
