A line of text in an HTML document will be wrapped by the browser into window-width sections automatically....unless a newline is forced by a
tag, an ending

tag, or something similar. s and s (0x0D and 0x0A), embedded in the HTML document, are ignored by the browser. There are exceptions to the above, though. Although I don't remember what they are (and can't be bothered to look) there are tags which can instruct the broswer to pay attention to traditional newline formatting. I have used them before, to easily stick the output of 'uptime,' 'df,' or something similar into a web page and preserve the formatting. o (O) BeLLy --- þ Synchronet þ **** BraziBBS: bbs.brazi.net **** .
