It isn't a "Carriage Return" at all, it is what I suppose you would call a "line break" or "line wrap" or "new line" or "end of line". No character is involved. The browser renders the text with whatever line breaks it deems apropriate to fit the window size currently in use by the browser. Your actual HTML code can have real carriage returns (CR) or carriage return/line feed pairs (CRLF) inserted after every word, or none at all.
