Subj : NNTP To : All From : Time Warrior Date : Sun May 29 2005 04:47 pm From Newsgroup: alt.bbs.synchronet Just another suggestion. I appear to be full of them today, even though some tend to think me as being full of something else :-) I've noticed that under the "Stat:" field, seeing as nntp readers don't post a valid "To field" that under "Stat:" it gives the header name of the person the message is being directed to (like a psudeo to field). I think that is VERY COOL and would like to suggest something regarding it. When someone does a "List" from the message read prompt on nntp gated areas -- if it could read the headers and see the message was posted with an NNTP client, that the "To" field in the listing when you hit "L" could use the "Stat" info instead of To: (all, alt.bbs.synchronet, alt.whatever). I think for us BBS Scene people who rather enjoy telnet message scans, this would definately be useful. -- .---------------------------------------------------------------. | [TiME WaRRiOR] aka [Dave Kelso] AIM: Twar782 | +o Malkavia BBS | | www : synchsupport.net - malkaviabbs.com - xpresit.net | | www$: josephsjewelersonline.com - preferedinsurance.com | | @: time.warrior@malkaviabbs. com | \______________________________________________________________/ --- Synchronet 3.12a-Win32 NewsLink 1.76 * Malkavia - Chicago, IL - telnet://malkaviabbs.com --- Synchronet 3.12b-Win32 NewsLink 1.83 .
