Menus are not my concern. It's 50+ line ansi art login screens that are. Only 
boards that care about ANSi Art would require this, which as i said, is an 
extreme and unfortunate minority :-(

500k is not a big deal with todays speeds of bandwidth and how incredibly 
inexpensive hard drive space is these days.
