Subj : Market Action To : All From : Paul Rogers Date : Thu Apr 28 2005 07:28 pm Content-type: text/plain Are you SURE you want to know? Oh, well, OK. Prices fell enough to be significant on its own. Volume rose to +8% above average. That's not enough volume for my formula to call is a distribution day, but the price change should get your attention. It was claimed the Street was disappointed in the latest projections of the GDP and inflation going in opposite directions. That's as may be, but I'd say this market has been struggling all year. The Street isn't seeing anything it likes 6-9 months out in the future. I'd like to remind the Street about the old saying, "Be careful what you wish for, you might get it." They got what they wished for, but it seems there's little joy of it. p.s. Even if the average of 20MPH and 60MPH is 40MPH, 120 miles in 4 hours is 30MPH average speed. This sort of problem is what you face if you have several mutual funds, each reporting different annual percentage gains, and you want to know how you did in the aggregate. If I did though, well, I might use something like this. (Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)
