Subj : Market Action To : All From : Paul Rogers Date : Mon Sep 27 2004 06:42 pm

Oil continued to rise on possible war in Nigeria. Prices fell, the Dow
now down below 10,000. That's not intrinsically important, but it's
likely to spook investors. Volume continued above average, +6% again
today.

It looks like the upper "resistance" line of the trading range "turned
the market away" for at least the 7th time. The lower "support" line is
now down at 1066, and falling. MAYBE, and that's a definite maybe,
prices will find support there again, but I wouldn't count on it.
Things like that don't work forever. Never base your investing
decisions on the market following a particular pattern, particularly
when it is this obvious.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)

Last Signal: SELL Date: 09/23/04 S&P: 1108
Winner or Loser: Winner By: 12pts
