Subj : Market Action To : All From : Paul Rogers Date : Tue Jul 13 2004 06:01 pm
Not much to report today. The total range of today prices, high to low,
was only about 3pts. Volume rose a bit, but still finished -7% below
average.
The price moving averages are congested again. With so little attention
to and enthusiasm in the market, prices might be able to penetrate the
200-day and bump along just under it without precipitating a panic. The
question is what the Street's technical analysts are paying attention
to most, whether it's the moving averages, the trading range, both or
neither.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)
Last Signal: SELL Date: 07/02/04 S&P: 1125
Winner or Loser: Winner By: +12
