Again prices rose modestly early in the morning, but they were a little
more successful about retaining their gains. Volume rose a little, but
was still only +4% above average. Consumer confidence figures were
released today, and perhaps that contributed. Tomorrow we get the Fed's
announcement, but that shouldn't be a big issue. I think investors
really want the Fed to demonstrate determination and control.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)
