Subj : Market Action To : All From : Paul Rogers Date : Wed May 26 2004 05:39 pm

The market traded in a relatively narrow range today. (That fact might
be lost if one looks at a chart laid out to be a fixed size with axes
adjusted to fill the space allotted. I plan on doing a webpage about
lying with figures.) It opened lower, then see-sawed all day with a
sequence of marginally higher highs, and higer lows. But in the end it
was less than 2pts higher even though it trended higher all day. If the
range had been 100pts or more, then that action could be interpretted as
positive. Volume sank to -10% below average, which also shows the
action wasn't encouraging.

I remain skeptical. I need to see some confirmations of this Buy
signal.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)
