Subj : Market Action To : All From : Paul Rogers Date : Wed Apr 21 2004 06:36 pm

"Wha'd he say?" With the cat let out of the bag yesterday one might
expect today's action to be anti-climactic. But during Greenspan's
testimony this morning the market was all over the map. Things calmed
down a bit during the afternoon, and the NASDAQ components pulled the
S&P500 up modestly. The internal market details were a bit divergent.
The Advance-Decline line was slightly negative. Volume was +19% above
average, mostly positive. Up-volume alone wasn't all that much less
than total volume on Monday. Overall, I'd say the day didn't do much
for the Bulls.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)

Last Signal: SELL Date: 04/20/04 S&P: 1118
Winner or Loser: Loser By: -16
