Subj : Market Action To : All From : Paul Rogers Date : Tue Feb 10 2004 08:12 pm

Well, Yahoo/Finance gave me good numbers yesterday. So I'll go on
record disliking yesterdays action. Today's action was a little
strange. This afternoon prices jumped up for an hour, then jumped right
back down. Volume was lower again, -9% below average. OK, maybe I was
wrong to consider January's volume an aberration. Since it's almost 30
trading days into the new year anyhow, I shifted back to a straight 30
day moving average.

You've had more than enough time to protect yourself from any dangerous
trades you may have made. I don't want to be hearing any sob-stories if
we get a (long awaited) 10% correction. I'd be looking for the first
signs of "support" down at 1100 or so, and that's down only -5%! I'd
want to be in a fairly neutral position right now if I was playing the
market.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)

Last Signal: BUY Date: 11/24/03 S&P: 1052
