The DJIA couldn't get out if its own way today, but the OTC found some
strength this afternoon. Fortunately the combination kept the S&P 500
above the line at the close. DJIA volume, the one I track, was up +9%
above average, +25% above yesterday. Of course, that's not good news
for the Bull's case on a day of falling prices. It means sellers were
willing to sell, even if they got less than yesterday's close might have
led them to expect.

That's OK, just wait.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)

Last Signal: Buy Date: 10/01/03 S&P: 1018
