Subj : Market Action To : All From : Paul Rogers Date : Mon Oct 06 2003 06:24 pm
I'm not sure I believe the number Yahoo Finance gave me for today's
volume (only 998Ms!), -25% below average? The price action was
remarkable only in its lack of volatility today. So I suppose it's
possible investors were unenthusiastic in advance of 3rd Quarter
earnings reports. We're coming up to test last month's 1040 high,
and without buying enthusiasm I'd expect it to act as "resistance".
Don't expect the market to jump if earnings reports are good, that much
is already priced into the market.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)
