Subj : Market Action To : All From : Paul Rogers Date : Mon Jul 28 2003 08:25 pm

I stopped by one of the market closing-report online pages and had to
smile. They noted that a couple major companies reported good earnings,
but, needing to explain why that didn't seem to move the market up, then
they suggested it was the old "too far, too fast" feeling. It makes one
wonder about the quality of some of the reporting out there.

Today the market closed slightly down, on -8% less volume. I don't have
any problem explaining why the market didn't go up today. This is just
"more of the same". Oh, sure, it could change tomorrow, but I need to
be convinced.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)

Last Signal: BUY Date: 07/22/03 S&P: 988
