Subj : Market Action To : All From : Paul Rogers Date : Wed Jul 09 2003 08:07 pm

I can think of two good headlines for what seems to be the attitude of
the majority of investors. "Show me the money!" "Trust, but verify."

Once again prices were slightly down on slightly higher volume. I'm
getting the impression the Bulls are getting a little tired. That's
just the typical way comentators say we've recovered from being "over
sold" and now seem to be "over bought". But that's the way the Market
tends to swing, from extreme to extreme, cliche to cliche. It's going
to take some good news on earnings, better news than is already priced
into the Market, to push this Market higher.

I think I'd just as soon see the typical "Summer Doldrums" start, to
give everybody a chance to re-evaluate the current state of the economy,
business, earnings, and the Market's valuation in relation to all those.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)

Last Signal: BUY Date: 04/01/03 S&P: 858
