Subj : Market Action To : All From : Paul Rogers Date : Thu Apr 10 2003 10:08 pm
I didn't get a chance to get more than the closing numbers today. But
volume remained low, -11% below average. I interpret this action to be
"indecision", even if this isn't one of the classic indecision technical
formations. Investors aren't sure what's next. We've been a bit
distracted from Q1 earnings prospects. But that's clearly the next
important issue on the Street. If consumer confidence is buoyed by the
end of the war, and nothing untoward happens geopolitically, then maybe
the economy can begin improving a bit. We're basically flat since last
fall, and that's OK for now in my opinion.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)
