The newsbots explain today's "losses" in a variety of ways, but that's
because they have to APPEAR like they know what's going on, and they
have deadlines to meet! In the last 5 sessions closing prices haven't
changed more than a handful of points--that sounds FLAT to me! Call it
like you see it! Volume was -13% down today, indicating no significant
excess of buyers OR sellers.

In the "fast-twitch", short attention-span world of the Street, I
wouldn't be at all surprized to see Prices drift lower. Iraq is
expected to be a "done deal" now. I can think of just one news item on
Iraq that would likely move the Market. So where are they going to get
their jollies now?

Frankly, I think the Street may be "hoist by it's own petard". They've
been rewarding CEO's for a long time for shipping work overseas. How's
that going to mean improving jobs and employment, and a growing economy
in this country now? Maybe I ought to pay a little more attention to
the Shanghai Exchange.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)

Last Signal: BUY Date: 04/01/03 S&P: 858
