My Timing Signal reversed itself today. So is the answer to wait a day
or two after a signal to see if it holds up?
No, the answer isn't a more complicated signal! The answer is to
recognize that what you're asking for is impossible--a predictor of the
future. By and large, I think we'd have to call the people who want a
Timing Signal speculators, not investors.
Now, there's nothing wrong with being a speculator or trader if that's
your style. But if you are, you're in touch with Market movements all
the time--you don't need a signal. I think the worst thing we can do as
investors is allow ourselves to become confused about our investing
style and the strategies and tactics which are effective for that style.
I recommend studying and refining your strategies and tactics, but don't
allow yourself become subject to self-doubt, and swayed by every passing
breeze down Wall Street.

Timing Signals: I don't use or recommend timing signals, but they're
fun to watch. If I did though, well, I might use something like this.
(Be warned!! It tends to whipsaw around signal points!)
