I'm not following too closely here ....  but was he inquiring for a league
to enter his bbs in, or a league to play in?  

Perhaps Johnny will see this message.   If he establishes a link with you,
for MirageNet games,  you'd be willing to link him with the smaller game
too, wouldn't you?  :)     Two are available with one link.   

On the other hand, if Johnny is looking for a place to play - I'm not 
reachable by telnet.  I don't think you are either.   
ummm... how about FidoTel ?    I forget the telnet address though.  Can you
post it here for him?
