You keep hearing about h >Kurt Warner made it so "great for us" but the fact is that if Warner had spe >all his time in Arena Football, he wouldn't have gotten a tryout. While the >gave him a chance to play regularly, it wasn't until he took time to go to N >Europe that he showed the NFL that he could play against NFL players. While >scouts have been around the AFL and some of the players have been given >tryouts, most of the talent is coming for NFL Europe and the CFL. You have to remember that Arena Football is a totally different game than NFL football. It is much more different than Canadian Football. They may play with the same ball and on a field with stripes. They may score touchdowns and field goals but the way the game is played is different. Because of the smaller playing field plays develop much more quickly. Pinpoint passing, open field running and sheer speed are more important. Brute power and smashmouth football are less important. * SLMR 2.1a * I typed DEL COM1: and killed a telephone operator! --- * RIMEGate(tm)V10.2бя* RelayNet(tm) NNTP Gateway * MoonDog BBS * RgateImp.MoonDog.BBS at 6/16/00 3:42:54 PM --- PCBoard (R) v15.3/M 100 * Origin: MoonDog BBS, Brooklyn,NY, 718 692-2498, 1:278/230 (1:278/230) .
