Not only will there be an AFL and AF2, there will be an IPFL, AIFL and NIFL. AF2 plans on having 72 teams in a few years and I think that some of these teams are going to be former IPFL and IFL teams that don't want to wait a year or two to be accepted into AF2 (The Lousiana team jumped from the IPFL to the NIFL). The AIFL appears to be west coast teams and they may end up forming the western portion of AF2. I could be wrong but it seems logical. Certainly the IFPL is hanging on by a thread and I expect that they will eventually move into the AF2 fold (The IPFL has been in existence since 1998, however; they've lost AT LEAST 3 teams to other leagues and a couple of others have folded). The IFL was in better shape and was probably headed toward the concept of the NIFL (Most, if not all games, will be played within hours of each other. The league will have 30-36 teams but they won't be traveling all over the place as is the case with the AFL and AF2) when they sold themselves to the AF2.
